Written for LineageOS 18.1 on Samsung Galaxy S4, with Magisk 0.25 installed.
- Enable Zygisk in Magisk (reboot)
- Install LSPosed as Magisk Module (reboot)
- Install FakeGApps apk from https://github.com/whew-inc/FakeGApps -> should be picked up by LSPosed (if necessary go to app settings and move to internal storage to be picked up correctly by LSPosed)
- Install MicroG Installer Revived from https://github.com/nift4/microg_installer_revived/releases/tag/v3.2.0-0 (reboot)
You should now have microG as runnable application, go there and see if all self-check options are enabled.

Finally saving this before I forget for the dozen-th time were the smartcover setting is hidden in phone options.
Under Bluetooth, NFC and devices, of course!
Amazing cross-platform filesharing app (for sharing over wifi/LAN).
Super simple to setup, there's applications on anything from linux/windows/mac to android and ios and it's made by the linuxmint team so it's all nicely open source and free and wonderful!
A cross platform debugger for Bluetooth/TCP/UDP. Really nice serial debugger - for desktop and android

Self-hosted google photos-like image hosting (and video!). Looks slick, simple enough but featureful enough in a sweet spot to make self-hosted image storage a cinch.
Supports automatic image tagging as well and has an android app on fdroid.
Amazingly simple application. Can be self-hosted.
All you need is curl, but of course it can be done via webhook (so basically any online app will be able to connect), or any other way to simply PUT/POST an http request.
Similar goals to gotify, but 3 major differences:
- Provides hosted instance to quickly get you started testing it out
- uses publically accessible notification streams so less secure especially on the hosted instance
- has a broader scope for features with e.g. file attachments and click actions for notifications
Galaxy S4 - a collection of guides to set up custom roms etc. and accompanying resources, from roms through flashing tools and recovery images everything necessary should be here.
-
if spoofing already enabled in recovery image:
-
usually it should just require the following three steps:
- download magisk apk from github (topjohnwu repo), rename to zip
- enter recovery mode (hold power+vol up+home, release power on first vibrate)
- choose apply update, do
sudo adb start-server
sudo adb sideload magis.zip
> wait for it to install - then reboot
- go to microg and click the checkmarks and it should ask you if it should be spoofed
-
if new/stock recovery image:
-
do this whole procedure
-
flash the two resulting files with magisk (installed like the three steps before)
-
reboot and hope for the best
-
go to microg settings and click on the spoofing test thingies until everything has a checkmark
